It has indeed been a long while since I have attended a “Uniquely-Singaporean-Muslim-Wedding”, which was held at our humble HDB void deck. So thankful to be invited along to a very old and dear friend (Tall) Zaed, who has finally tied the knot after knowing him for a good 17 years!

It was such an honor and unique experience to be part of this local experience where it is so much different from the experience of going thru a Chinese or Western wedding. I am sincerely thankful for the care and hospitality offered by his family, notably his sister and brother-in-law, who has helped make me feel so comfortable despite probably being the only Chinese at the wedding, and embracing me as though we were family members and explaining to me of the customs they had as I poured out my curiosity during the proceedings.
